Passing on the will of fire to the next generation has been the theme of this show, Sasuke learnt everything from Orochimaru that he needed to learn and hence discarded him because he was no longer needed, Tsunade also made Sakura pretty much her 2.0, Jiraya had a lot to teach to Naruto because he has been behind Sasuke and Sakura when it comes to training so far, Jiraya didn't even teach Naruto about Sage mode so far so he definitely had more to offer when it came to training Naruto. You can't just tell me that Jiraya can't use the same transportation jutsu Sasuke used to escape from Deidara. Like he can just escape and tell people about Pain himself rather than fight 6 Rinnegan users himself and potentially losing his life.
